Since 1989 this prayer festival has been held at the holy place of Bodhgaya, where Shakyamuni Buddha attained enlightenment. This gathering offers 10 days of prayers for World Peace and the liberation of all sentient beings. A web search will give more information.

As tens of thousands of people gather in Bodhgaya, we will gather in Memphis uniting in the wish for peace. Pema Karpo began celebrating two years ago. This year’s prayers and teachings will be led by Khenpo Gawang Rinpoche, a Tibetan Buddhist scholar, monastic, and international meditation teacher.
